GBTU TRAINING SEASON 2018/2019

For Boise District BLM Agency Personnel:

For an employee or supervisor that needs any training for the upcoming season, the appropriate Training Nomination Google Form needs to be completed by the listed due date:

FALL NOMINATION FORM
Needs to be Completed by August 31 for all the Fall Geographic Area Training
(Reference classes from October - December with the early submission dates of 9/1/18)

WINTER/SPRING NOMINATION FORM Needs to be Completed by September 26 for all the Winter/Spring geographic area training.
(Reference classes from January - May) with the submission dates of 10/1/18 for most courses)

For any Boise District BLM AD Personnel in need of any training please complete the appropriate nomination form and also email Leigh Ann Hislop, Fire Training Specialist @ lhislop@blm.gov to ensure it has been submitted correctly and explain why you need the course(s).
Remember Agency Personnel gets first consideration for courses prior to AD Personnel.

Students that are selected for courses will receive notification via email to them directly and/or through the training officer. It is the employees responsibility to ensure their supervisor is informed.

Once the nomination form is completed all supervisors can view the information in a spreadsheet via the Google Drive. It is highly recommended that supevisors confirm the nomination information.

Once the nominations are submitted locally, our management will prioritize. Then the prioritization will happen at the Co-op level which includes Boise National Forest and SW Idaho Department of Lands. The next step is to prioritize at the West Zone level which also includes Payette National Forest, McCall Smokejumpers, NIFC Personnel, Idaho State BLM, and Southern Idaho Timber Protection Agency. The zone prioritization is then taken to the Great Basin level.

Classes may be cancelled, combined or postponed based upon determinations made by Great Basin Training or Southwest Idaho Interagency Wildland fire Training Committee.

2019 SWIFT TRAINING SCHEDULE will be posted by 2/1/19
