South Idaho Fire Interagency Fire Dispatch

South Central Idaho Interagency Dispatch Center (SCIIDC) is located in Shoshone Idaho, just north of Twin Falls and south of the famed Sun Valley area. The main fire offices of the BLM Twin Falls District Fire and Aviation Program are located on the same compound as our building.

SCIIDC performs dispatch duties for the south central part of Idaho, the north eastern portion of Nevada and the north west corner of Utah. The area's topography varies from the flat and rolling Snake River Plain, to the hills and mountains of the Jim Sage and Smokey Mountain ranges.

The center provides support to seven state and federal agencies, with 13 cooperators from the Department of Interior, Department of Agriculture, and State of Idaho. Approximately 11,900,000 acres are under the protection of SCIIDC.

SCIIDC is supported by great communications professionals who keep the center running and make sure our operations state-of-the-art. We have a great cadre of experienced folks who provide daily training for new dispatchers.

The center employs a combination of temporary and career BLM and USDA dispatchers, providing a challenging career in Resource Management and protection of our nation’ s most magnificent lands. We provide academic training to prepare exceptional employees for careers in public service.
