 Government Contracting Resources:

Small Business Administration (SBA)

The U.S. Small Business Administration was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation. We recognize that small business is critical to our economic recovery and strength, to building America's future, and to helping the United States compete in today's global marketplace. http://www.sba.gov/

Step 1: (Mandatory) Dun & Bradstreet (D&B)

The Data Universal Numbering System (the D&B D-U-N-S number) is used to identify businesses numerically, for each physical location of your business and for data-processing purposes. This unique business identification system proved so useful that today the D&B D-U-N-S number has become a standard business identifier for the U.S. Government. D-U-N-S number assignments are FREE for all businesses required to register with the Federal government for contracts and grants. http://www.dnb.com/us/

Step 2: (Mandatory) Central Contracting Registration (CCR)

Central Contractor Registration is the primary registrant database for the U.S. Federal Government. CCR collects, validates, stores and disseminates data in support of agency acquisition missions. http://www.ccr.gov/

Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps)

FedBizOpps.gov is the single government point-of-entry (GPE) for Federal government procurement opportunities over $25,000. Government buyers are able to publicize their business opportunities by posting information directly to FedBizOpps via the Internet. Through one portal - FedBizOpps (FBO) - commercial vendors seeking Federal markets for their products and services can search, monitor and retrieve opportunities solicited by the entire Federal contracting community. http://www.fedbizopps.gov

Online Representation and Certifications Application (ORCA)

ORCA is an e-Government initiative that was designed by the Integrated Acquisition Environment (IAE) to replace the paper based Representations and Certifications (Reps and Certs) process. https://orca.bpn.gov/
