Fire Prevention Technician duties

Fire prevention technicians perform duties relating to support of the district fire prevention program. These duties include fire prevention patrol operations to convey fire danger to the public, extinguishing abandoned campfires, prevention sign upkeep and maintenance. Other duties involve presenting fire prevention messages to a variety of audiences at public and community events such as fairs, school programs, parades, rodeos, fire department open houses and homeowner group meetings.
