Fire Cache Position
Eastern Idaho Interagency Fire Center’s Fire
Cache (EIIFC) is often a fast paced environment to work in during
the summer months. The EIIFC Fire Cache is responsible for supplying
wildland fire supplies to an area ranging from northern Utah into
Montana, western Wyoming to Craters of the Moon National Monument,
and encompasses more than 7.5 million acres of land.
For the 2007 fire season, we are looking for a seasonal
employee to work at the EIIFC Fire Cache. Responsibilities may include:
receiving and distribution of large quantities of goods, stocking
the warehouse with wildland fire support items, delivering support
supplies and equipment to wildland fires, and inventory accounting.
The EIIFC Fire Cache operates with 1 permanent employee, 1 career-seasonal
employee (6-9 months per year), and 1 seasonal employee (3-5 months
per year). Standard hours are 09:00 am to 06:00 pm, but may be extended
due to fire activity warranting overtime pay.
