Ramp Manager

This position is located at an interagency aerial fire fighting facility (Pocatello Air Attack Base) at the Pocatello Airport. Duties include supervising all activities on the aircraft ramp including coordinating and directing helicopter and fixed wing/air tanker start up, taxiing and parking, ramp traffic flow, fueling safety and retardant loading. Additionally, supervising individual parking tenders and monitoring and directing the retardant loading activities of the retardant crew is required.

The ramp manager is also responsible for ensuring ramp equipment (fire extinguishers, retardant loading hoses/valves/switches, wash down facilities, chocks and tie downs) is maintained and in good working condition and loading pads are clean of oil, fuel, and retardant. Performing other base maintenance duties as assigned and sharing responsibility for opening and securing the base each day is also required.

Utilizing computers in compiling data for daily summaries and yearly reports and performing light office work including answering phones and utilizing base radios is also required.
