We recognize that small business is critical to our economic recovery and strength, to building America's future, and to helping the United States compete in today's global marketplace. Irene Gonzalez, Business Development Specialist Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) The Data Universal Numbering System (the D&B D-U-N-S number) is used to identify businesses numerically, for each physical location of your business and for data-processing purposes. This unique business identification system proved so useful that today the D&B D-U-N-S number has become a standard business identifier for the U.S. Government. D-U-N-S number assignments are FREE for all businesses required to register with the Federal government for contracts and grants. Central Contracting Registration (CCR) Central Contractor Registration is the primary registrant database for the U.S. Federal Government. CCR collects, validates, stores and disseminates data in support of agency acquisition missions. Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) FedBizOpps.gov is the single government point-of-entry (GPE) for Federal government procurement opportunities over $25,000. Government buyers are able to publicize their business opportunities by posting information directly to FedBizOpps via the Internet.
