7/12  Grand Teton Hecthman WFU   lightning Fire is near the Caribou-Targhee National Forest boundary. Grand Teton National Park is managing this fire.

Fire is located 5 miles east of Rockland. Firefighters are battling this fire in steep/rough terrain. Fire contained on 9/10 at 6 p.m. and controlled on 9/15 at 3:30 p.m.
9/13 Rexburg  Menan Butte 5 under investigation Fire is located 2 miles north of Menan Butte. 5 engines are on scene along with fire investigators. Radio towers were threatened. Contained at 9 p.m. and controlled at 11:46 p.m. on 9/13.
9/13 Malad Deep Creek 5 human Fire is located 5 miles northeast of Malad. 7 engines and 3 county engines are on scene. Fire was contained at 6 p.m. and controlled at 10:30 p.m. on 9/13.
9/13 Soda Springs Slug Creek .25 human Fire is located 11 miles east of Soda Springs. One engine contained the fire at 4 p.m. and controlled the fire at 6 p.m. on 9/13.
9/11 Inkom North Pebble .1 human Fire is located 7 miles northeast of Inkom. Fire contained and controlled on 9/11.
9/9 Island Park Meadow Creek .1 lightning Fire is located 9 miles southeast of Henry's Lake in Meadow Creek near Mount Two Top. Fire contained and controlled on 9/9.
9/6 Dubois Snowshoe 9,556 lightning Fire is located 18 miles east of Dubois. Six engines are mopping up this fire. Contained at 10 a.m. and controlled at 3 p.m. on 9/10.
9/6 Ashton Dune 1,688 lightning Fire is located 20 miles northwest of Ashton. One engine is mopping up the fire. Fire was contained at 2 p.m. on 9/8. Controlled at 7 p.m. on 9/8.
9/8 Pocatello Mchaud Creek   2 human Fire is located 2 miles west of Pocatello. One engine is mopping up the fire. Contained at 11:45 a.m. on 9/8.
9/6 Palisades Austin 1 human Fire is located approximately 7 miles northeast of the town Palisades. One engine is suppressing this fire. Fire contained at 2:30 p.m. and controlled at 5:30 p.m. on 9/7.
9/3 Blackfoot Mile 100 15 human Fire is located north of Blackfoot off I-15. Fire was contained and controlled.
8/31 Island Park  Decadent 2 under investigation Fire is located at Two Top east of Henrys Lake. 25 firefighters are fighting this fire. The fire is in section 8 near Tygee Creek. Fire contained on 9/3 at 12 p.m. and controlled on 9/4 at 1 p.m.
8/6 Alpine Jack Knife WFU .25 lightning Located 12 miles southwest of Alpine, WY. Fire officials are using this fire for resource benefit and calling it a Wildland Fire Use fire.Fire was called out on 9/3 at 3:30 p.m.
8/31 Sage Junction Hawgood 3 human Fire located 8 miles east of Sage Junction off I-15. Three engines responded to the fire. Containment and control status reached.
8/15 American Falls Crystal 220,042 lightning

Fire is started 10 miles west of Aberdeen and is now approximately 10 miles southeast of Atomic City. The Crystal fire was contained at 6 p.m. on 8/31.

8/30 Ashton Fremont #1 Blanchard 200 human County assisted fire east of Chester, Idaho near Ashton. One home was evacuated for safety precautions.
 8/25 Idaho Falls Table Rock 58 human Fire is located 10 miles east of Ririe. Fire contained on 8/26 at 9 a.m. and controlled at 4 p.m.
8/24 Swan Valley Antelope 7 human Located 8 miles northwest of Swan Valley. Grain field burned northeast of Idaho Falls. Contained at 6:15 p.m. and controlled at 6:45 p.m. on 8/24.
8/24 Downey Cottonwood 2 lightning Fire located 10 miles east of Downey. Contained at 8:50 a.m. and controlled at 10:30 a.m. on 8/24.
8/22 Lava Hot Springs Sublette 59 human Fire located 4 miles west of Lava Hot Springs. Contained at 10:30 a.m. and controlled at 8:30 p.m. on 8/22
8/22 Swan Valley  Atkinson .1 lightning Fire located 9 miles east of Swan Valley. Contained at 3 p.m and controlled at 5 p.m. on 8/22. 
8/21 Grand Targhee Bustle Creek 2 lightning Within the Grand Targhee Resort permit area. Fire contained at 10 p.m. on 8/21 and controlled at 1 p.m. on 8/24.
8/15 Arbon Basin 6,084 lightning

The Basin fire is located 7 miles south of the town of Arbon. Containment reached at 10 p.m. on 8/20 and controlled on 8/24.

7/27 Teton Basin Fox Pass WFU .1 lightning This lightning caused fire was being managed to accomplish resource benefit. This fire was called out.
8/15 Holbrook Bowen 19,481 lightning

This fire is located 3 miles west of Holbrook and east of the Stone II fire. Containment was reached at 8 p.m. on 8/17. Controlled at 6 p.m. on 8/19. This fire is in patrol status.

8/16 Montpelier Mt. Naomi 2.5 lightning This fire is located on the Utah/Idaho boarder, west of Montpelier. Firefighters are monitoring this 2.5 acre timber fire. Containment was reached on 8/18 at 6 p.m.
8/7 Palisades Elk 17 lightning The Elk fire started August 7th by lightning. It is located nine miles northeast of Palisades Reservoir. Fire contained on 8/11 at 8 p.m. and is in monitoring status.
8/5 Holbrook Stone 2 31,568 lightning Located 1 mile west of Snowville, UT. Responded by air support, air tankers, and engines. Fire was contained on 8/12 and controlled on 8/15.
8/15 Kilgore Ice Cave .2 lightning Fire is located 12 miles south of Kilgore. Contained at 1:15 p.m. and controlled at 2 p.m. on 8/15.
8/15 Shelley Hells  3.5 lightning Fire is located 12 miles northeast of Shelley in the lava flow area. 14 firefighters are hiking into this fire. Fire contained at 12 p.m. and controlled at 7 p.m. on 8/16.
8/15 Arbon Valley Fort  46.3  lightning Fire is located in Arbon Valley burning on private and Fort Hall lands. Fire contained at 7 p.m. on 8/15 and controlled at 2 p.m. on 8/17.
8/15 Blackfoot Baldy Knoll 190 lightning Fire is located 11 miles northwest of Blackfoot. 2 engines are suppressing this fire. Containment reached at 6:30 a.m. and controlled at 5:30 p.m. on 8/15.
8/15 Preston Hillyard Canyon 1/4  lightning Fire is located 13 miles east of Preston. One engine is responding to this fire. Containment was reached at 4 p.m. on 8/16 and controlled at 5:12 on 8/17.
8/15 Downey  Cedar Knoll .5  lightning Fire is located 14 miles southeast of Downey. One engine and 4 firefighters are responding to this fire. Contained at 7 p.m. on 8/15 and controlled at 11:30 a.m. on 8/16.
7/23 Arco Arco 300.5 undetermined Fire is located 6 miles North of Arco. This fire is being is being managed by a Type 3 team. Steep terrain is hampering control efforts. Containment achieved 7/29 at 6 p.m. Controlled on 8/13 at 6 p.m.
8/14 Palisades Blowout .1  lightning Fire is located 8 miles southeast of Palisades town. Two firefighters are suppressing this fire.
8/14 Alpine Country Road .75 under investigation Fire is located 2 miles northwest of Alpine, WY. One engine responded. Contained at 2:30 p.m. and controlled at 5 p.m. on 8/14.
8/13 Ashton Porcupine .1 escaped campfire Fire located 10 miles east of Ashton, ID. Contained at 5 a.m. and controlled at 6:30 a.m. on 8/13.
8/12 Soda Springs Diamond Gulch 2 lightning Fire located 9 miles southeast of Soda Springs. Contained at 8 p.m. on 8/12 and controlled at 11:30 a.m. on 8/13.
8/12 Soda Springs Diamond Gulch#2 .1 lightning Fire located 6 miles southeast of Soda Springs. Contained at 5 a.m. and controlled at 6:30 a.m. on 8/13.
8/9 Pocatello Fort Hall Assist 1 train East Idaho assisted Fort Hall with a train caused grass fire west of Pocatello.
8/9 Arbon Valley East Fork 150 under investigation This fire is located 13 miles south of American Falls, Idaho with Eastern Idaho firefighters assisting the Rockland Fire Department. 5 engines battling this blaze that started early in the morning on August 9th. The cause of this fire is still under investigation. Fire was contained at 4 p.m. on 8/9. Control status reached 8/10 at 9 p.m.
8/8 American Falls Little Warm 109 blown tire Located southeast of the freeway at Massacre Rocks State Park. This 109 acre blaze potentially threatened four homes. 20 firefighters have contained the fire at 9:00 p.m. on August 8th and controlled at 5:30 p.m. on August 10th.
8/6 Bone Ozone 881.5 undetermined 15 miles east of Idaho Falls, Idaho, between Ririe Reservoir and the Windmill Farm, at Kepps Crossing. 25 firefighters and a helicopter have been working on this 881.5 acre wildfire. Containment was reached at 6 p.m. August 8th and controlled at 6 p.m. on August 9th. The fire started on private land 12 miles southeast of Idaho Falls in timber, grass and brush. The cause of this fire is still under investigation.
8/7 Idaho Falls Bulls 465 lightning

This lightning caused fire is located three miles east of the Ozone fire. The Bulls fire is 465 acres with 20 firefighters on scene. The fire was contained at 8 a.m. August 8th and controlled at 6 p.m. on August 9th. 17 firefighters are continuing to work and monitor the area.

8/7 Idaho Falls Taylor 50 lightning Located six miles northwest of Shelley, this fire is burning near Hell’s Half Acre, in lava rock. Four engines are on scene. The current acreage is reported at approximately 50 acres. 15 firefighters are working on scene. Containment time is 9 p.m. August 8th and controlled status reached at 7:30 p.m. on August 9th.
8/7 Kelly Canyon Moody .27 lightning Located four miles southwest of Warm Creek Campground. Lightning struck two trees and started the surrounding vegetation on fire. This fire is contained and controlled as of 8/8.
8/5 Holbrook Pear 600 lightning Located in the Cow Canyon Area combined with the Stone 2 Fire.
8/5 Holbrook Orange 100 lightning Located in the Cow Canyon Area and combined with Stone 2.
8/7 Swan Valley Indian 1/10 lightning Fire located just outside Swan Valley. Fire contained 8/7 at 11:30 p.m. and controlled at 10 a.m. on 8/8. One engine responded to this fire.
8/5 Pocatello Gap .1 lightning Located at milepost 59 north of I-15. Fire contained and controlled.
8/6 Inkom Surprise 5 undetermined Located at milepost 54 on I-15 between Inkom and McCammon. Containment 8/6 at 6:30 pm and controlled late evening 8/6.
8/5 Holbrook Apple 1 lightning

Located in the Cow Canyon Area. Fire contained and controlled.
8/5 Pocatello 4-Mile .1 lightning Located 1/2 mile from south of 4 mile Canyon. Contained on 8/5 at 12:01 pm and controlled.
8/4 Hawkins Reservoir Hawkins 2.3 lightning Located 1 1/2 miles north of Hawkins Reservoir. Contained 8/4 at 9:06 pm and controlled at 10:30 pm.
8/4 Island Park Boot Jack .1 lightning Located northeast of Sawtell in Island Park, ID, due west of the Hungry Bear Grocery Store. Contained on 8/4 at 8:42 pm and controlled 8/4 at 10:36 pm.
8/4 Island Park Red Rocks .12 lightning Located on the Idaho side of Red Rock Pass. Contained 8/4 at 10:18 pm and controlled.
8/4 Island Park Lake Marie .1 lightning Located 2 miles west of Sawtell on the north slope near Hell Roaring Creek. Contained 8/4 at 12:00 am and controlled 8/5 at 9:30.
8/4 American Falls Massacre .25 lightning Located northeast of Massacre Rocks Visitor Center. Contained 8/4 at 11:41 pm and controlled 8/5 at 11:00 am.
8/2 Dubois Nez Perce Trail 1657 powerline down

Located west of Dubois just on the other side of I-15. Contained reached at 11 p.m. on 8/2. Controlled at 6 p.m. on 8/3.

7/25 Island Park Carrot WFU .1 lightning This lightning caused fire is being managed to accomplish resource benefit. For more information about this ongoing fire, please check back for current information. This fire was called out 8/01 at 1:30 pm.
7/29 Kilgore Steel Creek 1 lightning Fire is located 9 miles northwest of Kilgore, ID. Contained 7/30 at 2:41 pm.
7/26 City Creek City Creek .1 human Fire is located in City Creek. Fire was caused by an abandoned campfire. Contained and Controlled on 7/26 at 10:30 am.
7/26 Atomic City Atomic 137 lightning Fire is located between Atomic City and Big Butte, ID. Contained 7/26 at 6:30 and controlled 7/26 at 9:00
7/7 Afton, WY  Hyde  .25 lightning

This lightning caused fire was being managed to accomplish resource benefit. This fire was called out 8/04.

6/23 Alpine, WY  Jensen - WFU .1 lightning This fire will be used as a Wildland Fire Use event. This fire was called out 8/04 at 12:00 pm.
7/25 Bancroft Windmill Flat 1.5 lightning Fire is located 1 mile North of Alexander. Contained 7/26 at 1:42 pm and estimated control 7/26 at 5:20 pm.
7/25 Pocatello Exit 80 .1 human Fire is located at Exit 80 on I-15. It was contained and controlled on 7/25 at 7:10pm.
7/25 Malad Birch 2.5 lightning Fire is located .25 miles Northwest of Malad Summit rest area. Contained 7/25 at 6:00 pm.
7/23 Pocatello Alpha .1 lightning Fire is located 1 mile north of the Stone Fire. Intial attack using a helitack crew. Contained 7/23 at 11:00 pm and controlled 7/24 at 10:00 am.
7/23 Atomic City Seven .5 lightning Fire is located approx 8 miles south of Atomic City, ID. A single engine air tanker responded and made a retardant drop. Helicopter declared it contained 7/24 11:15 am and controlled 7/24 at 11:30 am.
7/23 Big Butte Oregon .5 lightning This fire is located Southeast of Big Butte. One engine responded and had containment on 7/23 at 9:00 pm and controlled 7/23 at 9:45 pm.
7/23 Arco Cow 1.5 lightning Fire is located 20 miles up Antelope Creek above Arco, ID. One helicopter responded. Contained on 7/23 at 6:00 pm and controlled on 7/23 at 6:45pm.
7/23 Arco Champagne 5 lightning Fire is located 20 miles Northwest of Arco. This fire received rain and is considered a natural out.
7/23 Holbrook Stone 80 lightning Fire is located 10 miles South of Holbrook. Three Engines, one water truck and one helicopter responded. Contained 7/23 at 11:00 pm and controlledl 7/24 at 4:00 pm.
7/23 Malad Deep Creek 6 lightning Fire is located 5 miles Northwest of Malad. Two Engines responded. Contained 7/23 at 7:00 pm and controlled 7/23 at 9:00 pm.
7/19 Arbon Valley Marble 29.5 lightning Fire is located 4 miles South of Arbon and 35 miles Southeast of American Falls. Four engines and one helicopter responded. Contained 7/19 at 10:30 pm and controlled 7/20 at 12:30 am.
7/18 Pocatello Daisy Assist #21 3 human Located on the corner of Country Club and Daisy on private land. Three trucks and eight engines responded.
7/17 Fort Hall Ft. Hall Assist #4 5 human Located on the corner of Reservation Rd and Thilbin. Four engines and 2 watertenders responded.
7/17 Ashton Cowboy .1 human Located 30 miles east of Ashton on the Wyoming side of the District. Fire was caused by an abandoned campfire. Contained and controlled at 4:15 pm on 7/16.
7/9 Bear Lake Poverty Flatts 236 lightning Fire is located approximately 18 miles Southeast of Montpelier. The fire burned both BLM and private land. Contained at 10 p.m. on 7/9 and controlled at 8:30 p.m. on 7/10.
7/7 Inman Canyon Bannock County Assist #4 .5 human This human caused fire was discovered on July 7 in Inman Canyon near FS land. One light engine responded to assist Bannock County.
7/7 Soda Springs Caribou County Assist #3 110 human This human caused fire was discovered on July 7 at the rifle range east of Soda Springs burning in a wheat field and light grass and sagebrush. Air Attack, 3 light engines responded to assist Caribou County Fire Dept.
7/7 Ririe Jefferson County Assist #1 32 human This human caused fire was discovered on July 7 south of Ririe between Hwy 26 and Ririe Reservoir. 1 light engine and 1 watertender responded to assist fire suppression resources from Jefferson County Central Fire District.
7/7 Arbon Valley Portage Canyon 7  lightning Fire is located approximately 22 miles southeast of American Falls. Fire was contained at 1:12 a.m. and controlled at 11:30 a.m. on 7/7.
7/4 Lava Hot Springs Lava 1 fireworks  Fire is located 3 miles south of Lava Hot Springs. Two engines responded to the fire. Contained and controlled at 1:36 a.m. on 7/5.
7/4 Malad Sheep Creek 5 lightning  Fire is located 4 miles east of Holbrook. Two engines and a 20-person handcrew are suppressing this fire. One Single Engine Airtanker dropped several loads of retardant on the fire on 7/4.
7/4 Idaho/Utah Boarder Burnt 9,008 lightning

Fire is located 13 miles north of Snowville, Utah and west of Interstate 84. Although this fire is in our area, South Central Idaho Fire Center is managing this fire.
6/28 Arbon Valley 14 Mile 47 unknown Fire is located 14 miles south of Pocatello Airport in Arbon Valley. 5 engines, a dozer, and Fort Hall and Chubbuck Fire Department responded to the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown. Fire contained on 6/28 at 7 p.m. and controlled at 11 p.m. Two engines patrolled the fire on Thursday checking for hot spots.
6/23 Pocatello Gunrange 15.2 unknown This fire is under investigation as to the cause of the fire, which is located approximately 5 miles north of Pocatello. Four engines, water tender, and Chubbuck Fire Department are on scene. Containment was reached at 3:30 p.m. on 6/23. Control status is expected by 5 p.m. on 6/23.
6/19 Pocatello Rapid Creek 1.5 lightning Fire located on the east part of Inkom. Contained at 0630 and controlled at 0730 on 6/19.
6/19 Pocatello Diamond Back .1 lightning Fire located approximately 3 miles east of Pocatello. Contained at 1 p.m. and controlled at 3:30 p.m. on 6/19.
6/9 Island Park IA #2   lightning Fire is located 4 miles east of Henrys Lake near Island Park.
6/9 Malad IA #1   lightning Fire is located 5 miles southeast of Holbrook near the Utah boarder.
6/1 Idaho Falls Willow 2 .37 human Fire was located 15 miles SE of Idaho Falls. Contained at 8 p.m. and controlled at 10 p.m. on 6/1.
5/30 American Falls Water Front .5 human Fire was located 4 miles east of Aberdeen. Contained and controlled on 5/30 at 10:14 p.m.
5/25 Dubios Hollow Creek 25 unknown This fire was contained on 5/26 at 9 a.m. and controlled the same day at 5 p.m.
5/21 Inkom Sorrell 1 human Fire was located near Inkom. One 20-person handcrew (Snakeriver Hot Shots) and county engines responded to the fire. Controlled on 5/21 at 8:21 p.m.
5/11 Idaho Falls Willow 1 human Fire was located approximately 15 miles east of Idaho Falls. Contained on 5/11 at 2 p.m. and controlled the same day at 4:30 p.m.
5/10 Ft. Hall Otter .8 human Fire was located approximately 9 miles west of Fort Hall. Contained on 5/10 at 4:30 p.m. and controlled on same day at 6 p.m.
5/10 Ft. Hall Island 2-3 human Fire was located approximately 10miles west of Fort Hall. Contained on 5/10 at 4:30 p.m. and controlled on same day at 6 p.m.
